This is the large vertical dehydrator viewed lengthwise. Hot air enters through holes at the bottom of the shallow rectangular box before being heated by the black tin inside. A clear plastic layer forces the hot air up towards two pipes leading into the base of the drying unit. Hot air rises, carrying out the moisture in the fruit, and leaves through a rain-proof vent at the top.
